With over thirty years of experience, Kor-Pak Corporation follows a meticulous, multi-step process to return your brake to “drop-in replacement” condition. Every job starts with a complete disassembly of the brake, followed by a diagnostic report detailing the full scope of work before any repair begins. From there, Kor-Pak supplies all required replacement parts, handles painting, and puts the rebuilt unit through mechanical and electrical testing prior to shipment. All work is done at a competitive price and backed by a one-year mechanical warranty, so you can trust the result is a properly rebuilt brake, not a patched-together one.

Thruster Repair
Thruster repair includes a complete overhaul, stator, seals, oil, and lowering valve. A typical thruster repair runs under 65% of the cost of a new unit and carries its own 1-year electro-mechanical warranty.
What’s Included in Every Reconditioning
- Machining, welding, and complete reconditioning of cast and fabricated parts
- New pins, bushings, brake shoes/pads, and relining with new organic linings, including boring, sleeving, machining, and welding as needed
- Inspection covering alignment, torque adjustment, cycle testing, resistance readings, and other testing to ensure the product returns in “like new” condition
- Full warranty on all repairs

Brake Shoe Reline, Brake Pad Reline, Brake Band Relines, Clutch Plate Relines, and various other Friction Services
Kor-Pak has the capability to reline a wide range of equipment, including brake shoes, brake bands, disc pads, and clutches, drawing on a large inventory of friction materials to match whatever the application requires. Relining work is done in-house through hot bonding, riveting, and machining, and every product is delivered ready to install.
Typical reline work includes brake bands, crane shoe linings (i.e. Krupp (Grove), Liebherr, Demag and Tadano Cranes), elevator shoes, escalator brake shoes, industrial brake shoes, and disc pads and plates, among many others.
Machining, Welding & Fabrication for Reline Work
Where a reline job calls for more than replacing friction material, Kor-Pak’s custom engineering capabilities take over: Horizontal and Vertical Machining, Turning, Grinding, Laser Cutting, and Fabricating, along with molded and cast components in aluminum, cast iron, and manganese steel. This means a badly worn or damaged part can often be rebuilt and relined in one process rather than requiring a separate fabrication job.
